Overview

Tennile Sunday is Anishinaabe-kwe from Alderville First Nation. She is a member of the firm’s Indigenous litigation team and works closely with the firm’s Indigenous clients on a range of complex matters involving Aboriginal rights and title, governance, and environmental and regulatory processes. Tennile brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to her work, grounded in a strong understanding of the legal, political, and cultural dimensions that inform Indigenous law.

Her practice includes supporting Indigenous Nations in advancing self-governance initiatives, developing laws and policies, and navigating constitutional, environmental, and regulatory frameworks. Tennile is committed to advancing the interests of Indigenous communities through strategic, client-focused legal support.

Tennile is also a dedicated advocate for issues affecting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Her work in this area has been recognized nationally, including as the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Forum Essay Contest.
