Shennel Hunte

Shennel is a hybrid paralegal supporting the firm’s Indigenous law practice. She assists lawyers on a broad range of matters, including commercial and residential real estate, Indigenous litigation, and other complex legal projects.

With more than 10 years of paralegal experience, including seven years focused on Indigenous legal matters, Shennel brings extensive experience in Indigenous financial governance and management, litigation, file management, legal research, and legal drafting. She regularly supports proceedings before the Federal Court and provincial courts, primarily in Québec.

Shennel is deeply passionate about Indigenous cultures, traditions, and the advancement of meaningful relationships, equity, and reconciliation. Through her work and continued learning, she has developed a strong awareness of the systemic challenges faced by Indigenous peoples and is committed to contributing to greater understanding and positive change through education and collaboration.

Known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to her files, Shennel provides reliable and thoughtful support to lawyers and clients on complex and evolving matters.

Outside of the office, Shennel serves as President of a non-profit organization in Montréal. She enjoys boxing, weight training, and travelling and exploring different parts of the world.
