Overview

Carmen began her legal career in 2017 as a legal assistant in personal injury litigation and has since built a well-rounded skill set across multiple practice areas. Her experience includes commercial litigation, insurance defence, ICBC defence, and business disputes, along with exposure to corporate law, commercial real estate, and securities matters.

Carmen is currently part of the litigation team at the firm, where she works in a hybrid legal assistant and paralegal role. In this capacity, she supports a wide range of complex litigation files, with a particular focus on matters involving Indigenous clients and communities. She is recognized for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in fast-paced legal environments.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and graduated with honours from the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Advanced Certificate program. Carmen is presently continuing her professional development by pursuing her Paralegal Certificate at Capilano University.
