The Natural Resource Sector as a Growth Lever

Macpherson Law LLP was pleased to moderate a focused Vancouver Board of Trade discussion on “The Natural Resource Sector as a Growth Lever” today. The event was held at Hotel Vancouver.

Thank you to an outstanding panel: Selena Basi of Woodfibre LNG Limited, Mike Carrucan of Elk Valley Resources, and Mark Urwin from the Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions, Government of British Columbia.

The conversation was grounded in problem solving. One message came through clearly: permitting speed and predictability are competitive issues. While maintaining world class environmental standards, there was alignment around the need to improve efficiency — including a potential single-window approach to reduce duplication and provide clearer timelines.
