Macpherson Law LLP presented at Forward Summit today at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. The session was moderated by Stewart Muir of Resource Works. Our topic was most engaging, anticipating the Indigenous – Canadian economy of 2030. I spent some time reflecting on the jurisprudence of the past few decades (Calder v. British Columbia, Delgamuukw v. British Columbia,Tsilhqot’in Nation v. British Columbia, R v. Cowichan) and DRIPA – speaking to what those cases reveal in embryo for what lies ahead.
